Greetings friends and family,
We are excited to share our news - even though the holidays are over and we're well into 2016!
Our granddaughter, Maya Anne Cedarblade, was born on July 31st. We were so thrilled and honored to be with Jess and Dave for her birth, and have jumped on every opportunity to see her since. What a wonder to see her growing and developing so quickly! Grandparenthood is all it’s cracked up to be!
We are so proud of her parents, who are sleep deprived but thriving! Jess is back to work as a midwife, caring for her diverse patients. Dave is practicing family and traffic law in a firm with three other lawyers.
Kyla is half-way finished at Brooklyn Law School where she has focused on immigration and education law, and already has lined up a 2 year fellowship starting next year. An added bonus is she will work for Children’s Legal Services in San Francisco over the summer, so we'll enjoy having her back home for 10 weeks! We’re very fond of her boyfriend, Chris, who is a graphic designer and an overall swell guy!
Both of us continue to find much satisfaction with our work. Craig’s construction business has been really busy with many happy clients, and Molly enjoys working with the students and teachers in her high school library. Molly's mom is doing well and is excited to be a great-grandma! We are looking forward to reunions with both the Burkes and the Lazari this summer - in Oahu and Seattle respectively. We're also looking forward to a spring trip seeing the beautiful sites of Southern Utah with our friends Jay and Pennie!
